2013 02 Board Meeting Minutes Feb

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM at Countryside Fire Station #1, 801 S. Midlothian Road, Mundelein, Illinois 60060 by President, Dan Prezell.

 MINUTES FOR APPROVAL
Mark Steward moved and Susan Frank seconded that the minutes from the Regular Board Meeting of January 7, 2013 be approved as corrected. Unanimously approved by Directors: Susan Frank, James Melledy, Dan Prezell, Mark Steward, Wayne Zumstein

 TREASURER’S REPORT
A Treasurer’s report was not presented at the regular February board meeting as a report will be presented and reviewed at the annual homeowner’s meeting on February 17, 2013.

 Mr. Aichele reported that he was able to lower the phone payments with a lower cost plan.

 

SUSPEND THE VOTING RIGHTS OF DELINQUENT MEMBERS
In accordance with Article 2, Section 5 of the West Shore Park Corporation Bylaws which reads:

The Board of Directors of the Corporation, hereinafter provided for, may suspend the voting rights if a member during such time as the member shall fail or refuse to pay the dues or assessments properly levied by the Corporation.

 James Melledy moved that the Board shall suspend the voting rights of those members not current with dues for the annual meeting of February 17, 2013. The motion was seconded by Susan Frank. Unanimously approved by Directors: Susan Frank, James Melledy, Dan Prezell, Mark Steward, Wayne Zumstein.

REVIEW HOMEOWNER’S NAME LIST
The updated list of homeowners and property owners in WSP was reviewed. Directors were assigned areas to collect proxies from homeowners.

 REPORT ON WSP & FREMONT TOWNSHIP PROJECTS
Drainage Project plans for Block 2 Beach were reviewed.

 Items discussed include:

  • Replacing drainage pipe with a larger 15” pipe.
  • Installation of a large collection grate.
  • Rip-Rap installation.

This project is in partnership with Fremont Township and is scheduled to begin the summer of 2013.

Forest Lane Repairs were reviewed. Fremont Township is working with the Army Corps of Engineers to develop a plan for repairs to the road and wall along the creek on “new” Forest Lane adjacent to West Shore Drive.

Dead and fallen trees have been removed by Fremont Township along “old” Forest Lane. Several trees also fell during snow storms and have been removed, including one large tree on Fairview Drive.

James Melledy will work as the liaison to Bill Grinnell of Fremont Township.

Mark Steward moved that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was seconded by James Melledy and unanimously approved. The meeting was adjourned at 8:11 pm.
