MEETING CALLED TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM at Countryside Fire Station #1, 801 S. Midlothian Road, Mundelein, Illinois 60060 by President, Dan Prezell.

 

MINUTES FOR APPROVAL

James Melledy moved and Susan Frank seconded that the minutes from the Regularly Monthly Board of Directors Meeting of August 5, 2013 be approved as submitted. Unanimously approved by Directors: Susan Frank, Dan Prezell, James Melledy and Wayne Zumstein.

TREASURER’S REPORT

Fred Aichele presented the Treasurer’s Report for 7/31/13 – 8/31/13. James Melledy moved and Susan Frank seconded that the Treasurer’s Report be approved as submitted. Unanimously approved. A copy is available for download.

There was a review and discussion of delinquent accounts.

There was a review and discussion of association dues collected and of those not yet collected.

Fred Aichele reported that the WSP Corporation tax return has been completed and submitted.

Fred Aichele reported that the mailing address on the tax record concerning a small parcel of WSP property adjacent to a road had not been transferred to Fremont Township. Fred has submitted the corrected address to the Lake County Assessment Office.

WSP PHONE BOOK UPDATE

Board members discussed the current status and challenges of collecting and updating phone numbers for the revision of the WSP Homeowners’ Association Phonebook.

Please send updated information to fredterri@sbcglobal.net if you are new to the neighborhood, or if your phone number or information has changed.

Only WSP property owners will be listed in the revised phone book. Renters will not be listed.

 

OKTOBERFEST UPDATE

The WSP Annual Oktoberfest is scheduled for
Saturday, September 21st from 4pm – 9pm in Miller Park.

APPROVE 2014 BOARD MEETING DATES

Dan Prezell presented the proposed meeting dates for the 2014 Monthly Board Meeting Dates for review and approval.

 

APPROVE 2014-2015 BUDGET TIMETABLE

Dan Prezell presented the proposed 2014-2015 Budget Timetable for review and approval.

 

DRAINAGE

Plans detailing drainage repair of the Block 2 Beach road and adjacent intersection have been received from Fremont Township. The plans will be reviewed and approved before work begins. The project will direct water away from the intersection of Forest Lane and the beach access road and is projected to be completed this fall.

NEW BUSINESS

An antenna was installed near the lift station located in Miller Park in August. This antenna enables the Lake County Public Works department to remotely monitor the sewer system in WSP. A proposal to install a second antenna near the Block 1 Beach access road has been received. Dan Prezell presented pictures of the proposed site, which is located on WSP common property.

 

Dan Prezell presented the 09/09/2013 Draft of the West Shore Park Corporation Amended And Restated By-Laws for review, discussion and revision.

 

ADJOURN

James Melledy moved that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was seconded by Wayne Zumstein and unanimously approved. The meeting was adjourned at 8:28 pm.
