CORRESPONDENCE

A.  TAYLOR LAKE COURT – LICENSE AGREEMENT

There was a review of the current draft of the Taylor Lake Court Licensing Agreement. James Melledy reported that he is continuing to work with the law firm on revising the agreement. The project is moving along. A licensing agreement is expected to be concluded with one Taylor Lake Court homeowner. WSPC will move forward with action to compel a second Taylor Lake Court homeowner, who has not responded to several communication attempts from WSPC.

B.  PROPERTY LEGAL DESCRIPTIONS

Nicki Sullivan reported that the survey project is moving forward despite some delays. Nicki will also be working with the GIS Department to help them properly record the correct locations of the WSP parks and beaches. This is to ensure that the Sheriff and Fire Department can respond as quickly as possible when needed at those locations.

TREASURER’S REPORT

Fred Aichele presented the Treasurer’s Report for 06/01/2018 – 06/30/2018. Nicki Sullivan moved and Chris Shifley seconded that the Treasurer’s Report be approved as submitted. Unanimously approved.

There was a review and discussion of delinquent accounts. Directors will personally contact delinquent account holders before delinquents are referred for further legal action due to non-payment.

The deadline for 2018 / 2019 WSP Homeowners’ Association Dues was April 30, 2018. Please deliver payment to Fred Aichele. Checks should be made out to West Shore Park Corporation.

OLD BUSINESS

James Melledy reported that he contacted the WSP insurance representative regarding damage to property as a result of a water main break. Additional clarification is needed. The situation will be investigated further.

James Melledy reported that the Block 1 Beach seawall has been inspected. Repairs are needed in several areas and will be scheduled once pricing for the repairs is researched and approved.

NEW BUSINESS

James Melledy reported that he has received a report concerning a new construction that is discharging water onto Fairview Drive. The matter has been referred to Fremont Township.

It was reported that a new homeowner may have installed a fence. The matter will be investigated.

Residents are reminded that dogs are not allowed at the WSP beach in the swimming areas or sand play areas. Dogs are welcome at the park areas adjacent to the beaches. Please remember to keep your pet leashed when in the parks and to always clean up after your pet!

Dan Prezell attended the Fremont Township meeting on July 9, 2018. He reported that Fremont Township board voted on “A Resolution To Submit Refuse Collection And Disposal Referendum To Electors Of Unincorporated Areas Of The Township Of Fremont.” The resolution passed.

The question shall appear on the next election ballot as:

Position to Authorize the Township the Powers of the Township Refuse Collection and Disposal Act.

Please contact Fremont Township if you have any further questions regarding this ballot question.

James Melledy reported that he had been approached by residents with their concern regarding a social media post made by a Director. The Director was a witness to an incident on Diamond Lake involving a boat, possibly driven by a WSP resident, and a flock of geese. The Director was acting as a private citizen, not as a representative of WSPC, when posting the concern and opinion on social media. The post was not on any official WSPC social media account or the WSPC website.
