REGULAR MONTHLY BOARD MEETING MINUTES
January 8, 2022
ATTENDANCE

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order on January 3, 2022 at 7:02 p.m. at Countryside Fire Station #1, 801 S. Midlothian Road, Mundelein, Illinois 60060 by President Mike Davenport.
MINUTES FOR APPROVAL
Larry Bakirtjy moved that the minutes from the Regular Board of Directors Meeting of November 1, 2021 be approved as corrected. The motion was seconded by Minaxi Tailor. Unanimously approved.
The Regular Board Meeting scheduled for December 6, 2021 was cancelled. (No minutes.)
CORRESPONDENCE
A response was received to letters sent to specific properties identified as possibly having installed a fence. There was a review and discussion regarding fences.
There was a report regarding a Block 1 resident on Oakdale Lane who had recently had their property vandalized with spray paint graffiti. It is requested that WSPC residents contact the Lake County Sherriff Department if they have any information regarding recent vandalism of road signs, graffiti on WSPC roads, and graffiti or vandalism of personal property. Residents are encouraged to call the Lake County Sherriff at 847-377-4000 to file a report if they have had property vandalized within the last couple months.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Fred Aichele presented the Treasurer’s Report for 11/01/2021 – 11/30/2021. Werner Brisske moved and Chris Shifley seconded that the Treasurer’s Report be approved as submitted. Unanimously approved.
Fred Aichele presented the Treasurer’s Report for 12/01/2021 – 12/31/2021. Chris Shifley moved and Minaxi Tailor seconded that the Treasurer’s Report be approved as submitted. Unanimously approved.
Fred Aichele reported that he is in the process of completing the renewal for the fidelity bond to insure WSPC Officers.
A payment has been received from State Farm towards the Taylor Lake Court insurance claim.
PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Chris Shifley reported that a dock that was being stored for the winter that had been identified as needing to be moved to a better location was relocated as requested. Minaxi Tailor requested if another set of docks near the Block 2 Beach could possibly be located to a different spot. Mike Davenport stated the current storage location would be reviewed and possibly be reconsidered for storage in another area for next season.
It was reported that the email portal challenges recently experienced had been resolved and that the email portal now appears to be working correctly.
2022-2023 BUDGET DISCUSSIONS
There was a review and discussion of the final draft of the proposed 2022-2023 budget. The board finalized the 2022-2023 budget.

Werner Brisske moved and Minaxi Tailor seconded to accept the final draft of the Proposed Budget Fiscal Year 4/01/2022 – 3/31/2023 as proposed for presentation at the annual meeting on February 20, 2022.
Motion carried unanimously approved by Directors: Larry Bakirtjy, Werner Brisske, Mike Davenport, Chris Shifley, and Minaxi Tailor.
NEW BUSINESS
It was reported that a leak in the well-house of the check-gate/valve had been identified and has been fixed. A more thorough (and expensive) fix is necessary.
Review and discussion of the Board and Officers Task List.
Fred Aichele requested that the information packet for the Annual Member’s Meeting be reviewed. The packet was approved for distribution. Hard-copies of the packet will be distributed to all homes, sent via email, and made available on the website at: https://westshorepark.com/
There was a report that access to the eastern side of the Miller Park area along the channel is restricted by personal property which may be on WSPC property. The homeowner will be contacted to remove their personal property to allow access to the park area along the channel.
Larry Bakirtjy presented copies of various Plats of Survey for archival purposes. An electronic storage option for the archived files is being reviewed.
OLD BUSINESS
Larry Bakirtjy reported that the dead tree removal project was moving forward and bids are being collected for the upcoming job.
There was discussion regarding the WSPC payment of an outstanding invoice and related concerns regarding paying the invoice.
Werner Brisske reported the Fremont Township Highway Department had identified and relocated some landscaping that encroached into WSPC roadways which caused concern for plowing safety. It was also reported that the “parking pad installation project” has encountered many challenges and will require further review and discussion.

Larry Bakirtjy moved that the meeting be adjourned. Werner Brisske seconded the motion. Unanimously approved. The meeting was adjourned at 9:22 p.m.
The board met in Executive Session following the adjournment of the regular meeting.
