REGULAR MONTHLY BOARD MEETING MINUTES

May 7, 2018

ATTENDANCE

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order on May 7, 2018 at 7:01 p.m. at Countryside Fire Station #1, 801 S. Midlothian Rd., Mundelein, Illinois 60060 by President, James Melledy.

 

MINUTES FOR APPROVAL

Sharon Zink moved that the minutes from the Board of Directors Meeting of April 9, 2018, be approved as presented. The motion was seconded by Nicki Sullivan. Unanimously approved by Directors James Melledy, Nicki Sullivan, and Sharon Zink.

Nicki Sullivan moved that the minutes from the Board of Directors Meeting of February 18, 2018, be approved as presented. The motion was seconded by Sharon Zink. Unanimously approved by Directors James Melledy, Nicki Sullivan, and Sharon Zink.

Marilee C.C. Rusiniak presented the minutes from the Annual Members’ Meeting on February 18, 2018 for review and revision. A draft of the minutes will be available to the membership for review on the WSPC website and distributed via email. The minutes from the Annual Members’ Meeting on February 18, 2018 will be presented to the membership for approval at the 2019 Annual Members’ Meeting.

HOMEOWNER FORUM – PUBLIC COMMENT

CORRESPONDENCE

A.  TAYLOR LAKE COURT – LICENSE AGREEMENT

James Melledy reported that he is continuing to work with the law firm that WSPC contracts to review and revise the proposed Taylor Lake Court Licensing Agreement.

B.  OTHER

Nicki Sullivan reported that Fremont Township is in the process to gain approval to install “No Parking: Fire Lane” signs on Highland Terrace.

Nicki Sullivan reported that the WSP Board will follow-up with Lake County regarding the regulations regarding landscaping near/around intersections and along roads.

James Melledy reported that he has received additional communication regarding continued concerns about personal property being stored on WSP common property.

James Melledy presented a letter regarding the rules for off-season pier storage for WSP piers (and property) versus privately owned piers (and private property) for review and revision. The letter will be delivered to the WSP membership.

Nicki Sullivan will schedule a survey and staking of WSP common property to define WSP common property alongside privately owned property.

Sharon Zink reported that the pillars at the West Shore Drive at 60/83 entrance need to be cleaned and repainted. Weed and landscape clean-up will also be done. Volunteers are needed for the clean-up and painting project scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 21, 2018. Please contact Sharon Zink at [email protected] for more information or to volunteer.

TREASURER’S REPORT

Fred Aichele presented the Treasurer’s Report for 04/01/2018 – 04/30/2018. Nicki Sullivan moved and Chris Shifley seconded that the Treasurer’s Report be approved as submitted. Unanimously approved.

There was a review and discussion of delinquent accounts.

The deadline for 2018 / 2019 WSP Homeowners’ Association Dues was April 30, 2018. Please deliver payment to Fred Aichele if you have not already done so.

COMMISSIONERS’ REPORT

Water Tank

James Melledy reported for Water Commissioner, Brett Laureys that the new foundation for the water tank has been poured and the new water tank will be installed soon.

WSP will update the residents via email if there are significant installation schedule changes. Updates are available on the WSPC website: www.westshorepark.com

WSP residents on the water system should not have any loss in service. If something does occur, we will notify residents as soon as possible.

Please note that portions of Miller Park will be closed off until Memorial Day or later.

Sharon Zink moved that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was seconded by Nicki Sullivan. Unanimously approved. The meeting was adjourned at 8:34 p.m.
