From Lake County Board Member – District 10 – Jessica Vealitzek:

Please remind people to sign up for the vaccine on AllVax, and they can and should also call their health care provider if they haven’t already, and ask if their provider is administering the vaccine, and sign up with them. Registering in multiple places will NOT affect their place in line in AllVax. Supply is expected to increase and the process will start to go faster. The latest vaccine stats and info have been added to LCHD’s data hub: https://covid19response-lakecountyil.hub.arcgis.com/

NEW BUSINESS

There was a discussion regarding the attempt to follow-up on a missing invoice for work done for a homeowner by a contractor for damage to the homeowner’s property. The contractor will be contacted again.

There was a discussion regarding the plowing of the well-house road, beach roads, and Woodbine Road. An invoice for plowing was presented for review.

There was discussion regarding the considerable narrowing of the streets due to the large snow piles and the safety concerns of the narrowing of the roads.

The WSPC Board would like to thank Director Nicki Sullivan for her work as Liaison to Fremont Township over the years. “Thank you” for helping to facilitate and coordinate multiple projects with Fremont Township over the years.

OLD BUSINESS

Nicki Sullivan reported on a request to have a channel pier inspected after concerns about the safety of the pier had been reported. Mike Davenport reported he had done a visual inspection of the pier and that it does need some repair work, including the replacement of a missing board, but that the structure currently appears to be solid. The ownership of the pier was questioned. Maintenance responsibility of the channel piers and the sea wall was discussed. There is a question regarding the original financial contract attached with the original sea-wall agreement. Questions on whether any money has been collected towards the maintenance fund have been raised. A review of the original documents regarding the sea-wall construction and any financial responsibility some channel residents may have towards the maintenance of the channel sea-wall will be investigated.

James Melledy reported that the hole in the well-house roof was not large. The hole was repaired with a temporary patch prior to the recent snow events. A volunteer available to more thoroughly patch the hole is needed. Please contact Director James Melledy if you are available to patch a roof hole. WSPC is also looking for a person willing to do a more thorough roof repair job on the small well-house roof (paid repair) once the weather allows.

ADJOURN

Mike Davenport moved that the meeting be adjourned. John Lohrmann seconded the motion. Unanimously approved. The meeting was adjourned at 8:23 p.m.

The board met in Executive Session following the adjournment of the regular meeting.

Respectfully submitted,

Marilee C.C. Rusiniak, Secretary
