REGULAR MONTHLY BOARD MEETING MINUTES

January 8, 2018

ATTENDANCE

Directors: James Melledy, Cheryl Moss, Chris Shifley, Nicki Sullivan, Sharon Zink

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order on January 8, 2018 at 7:02 p.m. at Countryside Fire Station #1, 801 S. Midlothian Rd., Mundelein, Illinois 60060 by President, James Melledy.

 

MINUTES FOR APPROVAL

Sharon Zink moved and Chris Shifley seconded that the minutes from the Board of Directors Meeting of December 4, 2017 be approved as presented. Unanimously approved.

CORRESPONDENCE

A.  James Melledy reported that the replacement West Shore Drive road signs for the south entrance pillars will be ordered and installed.

B.  TAYLOR LAKE COURT – LICENSING AGREEMENT

James Melledy presented the proposed revised Taylor Lake Court Licensing Agreement received from a homeowner on Taylor Lake Court. There was a review and discussion of the proposed revisions.

C.  WSP BLOCK II PARK PIER AND SHORE STATION PLACEMENT

There was a discussion regarding private piers and shore stations that may be on WSP common property and not private property as required. A land survey is being consideration to determine exact property lines. An effort is underway to work with homeowners to move piers and shore stations off WSP common property and fully onto private property.

TREASURER’S REPORT

Fred Aichele presented the Treasurer’s Report for 12/01/2017 – 12/31/2017. Nicki Sullivan moved and Chris Shifley seconded that the Treasurer’s Report be approved as submitted. Unanimously approved.

There was a review and discussion of delinquent accounts.

2018-2019 BUDGET DISCUSSION

Fred Aichele presented the final draft of the proposed 2018-2019 budget for review and discussion.

(Note: $424 of the $666 for Water is directed towards the Water Tank Replacement Project.)

Sharon Zink moved and Chris Shifley seconded to accept the final draft of the Proposed Budget Fiscal Year 4/01/2018 – 3/31/2019 as proposed for presentation to the WSPC membership at the annual meeting. Unanimously approved by Directors: James Melledy, Cheryl Moss, Chris Shifley, Nicki Sullivan, Sharon Zink

This report will be discussed at the Annual Homeowners Meeting of February 18, 2018 at 1:30pm and attached to the minutes of that meeting.

For comparison use only: The previous year’s annual dues for homes on the WSP Water System are as follows: 2017 – $767 / 2016 – $875 / 2015 – $652 / 2014 – $649 / 2013 – $654 / 2012 – $495 / 2011 – $779

 

APPROVE 2018 ANNUAL MEETING PROXY AND LETTER TO HOMEOWNERS

The West Shore Park Corporation 2018 Annual Meeting Proxy and cover letter will be distributed to all homeowners prior to the annual meeting and will also be available on the website for download.

 

COMMISSIONERS’ REPORT

A.  Water Tank

Brett Laureys reported that the water tank replacement project is moving along. There was some delay with the recent extreme cold weather. The tank shop drawings are currently under review with the engineers.

NEW BUSINESS

It was agreed that WSPC will coordinate the grass cutting of all WSP Property.

ADJOURN

Cheryl Moss moved that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was seconded by Sharon Zink. Unanimously approved. The meeting was adjourned at 8:47 p.m.
