REGULAR MONTHLY BOARD MEETING MINUTES — Final

ATTENDANCE

Directors: Larry Bakirtjy, Werner Brisske, Mike Davenport, Minaxi Tailor (7:11pm)

Treasurer: Fred Aichele

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order on November 7, 2022 at 7:03 p.m. at Countryside Fire Station #1, 801 S. Midlothian Road, Mundelein, Illinois 60060 by President Mike Davenport.

MINUTES FOR APPROVAL

Werner Brisske moved that the minutes from the Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors on October 3, 2022 be approved as corrected. Larry Bakirtjy seconded the motion. Unanimously approved by Larry Bakirtjy, Werner Brisske, and Mike Davenport.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Mike Davenport reported that there is a shore station being stored on WSPC property. The owner will be contacted with the request to move the shore station off WSPC property.

Mike Davenport reported that he is following up with our lawyers regarding a correction needed on the new Lake County Tax Map (which includes the Taylor Lake Court property) on the Taylor Lake Court tax record.

TREASURER’S REPORT

Fred Aichele presented the Treasurer’s Report for 10/01/2022 – 10/31/2022. Larry Bakirtjy moved and Minaxi Tailor seconded that the Treasurer’s Report be approved as submitted. Unanimously approved.

REVIEW OF TASKS LIST

Review and discussion of the Board and Officers Task List.

NEW BUSINESS

It was requested that the Miller Park Commissioner and the Block 1 Beach Commissioner work with the current landscapers to confirm that all the WSPC property is being mowed as contracted. Mike Davenport will follow-up with the commissioners.

Fred Aichele reported he secured meeting dates with the Countryside Fire Station for the WSPC 2023 regular monthly board meetings and the annual meeting.

BUDGET REVIEW

Members are reminded that budget planning for the 2023-2024 fiscal year is underway. Members are encouraged to attend monthly board meetings to have their concerns and requests regarding the budget

addressed during the planning stage. The most important meetings regarding how WSPC spends funds collected from the homeowners are from October through December.

Fred Aichele presented the first draft of the 2023-2024 proposed budget for review and discussion.

Larry Bakirtjy relayed a budget addition request for Block 1 tree trimming from Commissioner Dan Prezell.

All commissioners are requested to submit their budget requests for 2023-2024 to the WSPC board ASAP for review and discussion at the December 5th Regular Monthly Board Meeting.

 

OLD BUSINESS

There was a review of the Pier Rules and Regulations. Discussion included WSPC responsibility and role in management and operation, and any possible liability. Board members to review information presented for further discussion.

ADJOURN

Werner Brisske moved that the meeting be adjourned. Larry Bakirtjy seconded the motion. Unanimously approved. The meeting was adjourned at 9:01 p.m.

Meetings will be held via Zoom in the event that Covid-19 Mitigation Measures are put into place and meeting rooms may not host gatherings. Dates and time and location are subject to change. All homeowners are encouraged to attend the monthly board meetings. Please contact any member of the board or check the website for updated information regarding meeting location.
