REGULAR BOARD MEETING MINUTES — Final

April 3, 2023

ATTENDANCE

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order on April 3, 2023 at 7:01 p.m. at Countryside Fire Station #1, 801 S. Midlothian Road, Mundelein, Illinois 60060 by President Mike Davenport.

MINUTES FOR APPROVAL

Werner Brisske moved that the minutes from the Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors on March 6, 2023 be approved as corrected. Larry Bakirtjy seconded the motion. Unanimously approved.

Werner Brisske moved that the minutes from the “Mini” Meeting of the Board of Directors which followed the Annual Members Meeting on February 19, 2023 be approved as corrected. Larry Bakirtjy seconded the motion. Unanimously approved.

CORRESPONDENCE

It was reported that a shore station that had been stored on WSPC property has finally been moved. Mike Davenport will follow-up with the owners to ensure that the shore station will not be stored on WSPC property in the future.

Werner Brisske reported that Fremont Township is working in partnership with Westshoreland and Oakdale Terrace in sponsoring a road-side clean-up event along route 60/83 on April 22. Families with children are encouraged to pick up garbage within the neighborhood with an adult instead of along route 60/83.  Alicia Dodd of Fremont Township will provide orange vests and garbage bags. Volunteers are asked to bring their own gloves. Additional details to follow via email.

Werner Brisske reported that Fremont Township will be providing their Spring Brush Clipping Service for West Shore Park on May 22. Please see the Fremont Township website for details: https://fremonttownship.com/departments/highway-department/brush-chipping/

TREASURER’S REPORT

Fred Aichele presented theTreasurer’s Report for 3/01/2023 – 3/31/2023. Larry Bakirtjy moved and Werner Brisske seconded that the Treasurer’s Report be approved as submitted. Unanimously approved.

Fred Aichele reported that Billing Notices have been sent to all homeowners. The 2023/2024 WSPC Annual Homeowners’ Dues Billing is due by 4/30/2023. Partial payments are not accepted. Payment can be made by check, or paid by credit card through the WSP website: www.westshorepark.com

ANALYSIS: ACTUAL VS EXPECTED RECEIPTS FISCAL YEAR 4/1/2022 – 3/31/2023

Presented by Fred Aichele. Review and discussion followed. Accounting and cash balance reconcile.

REVIEW OF TASKS LIST

Review and discussion of the Board and Officers Task List.

NEW BUSINESS

There was a request for advance notice if there will be a water-shut off. Advance notice of a possible or planned water-shut off will be sent to the membership via email when we are notified.

It was reported that a load of mulch was received for Miller Park. Thank you to the student volunteers who worked hard to spread the mulch during their spring break vacation!

OLD BUSINESS

Identification of trees in need of trimming or removal is planned. Trimming and removal will be scheduled as needed.

ADJOURN

Werner Brisske moved that the meeting be adjourned. Larry Bakirtjy seconded the motion. Unanimously approved. The meeting was adjourned at 7:52 p.m.

All monthly meetings are held at Countryside Fire Station #1, 801 S. Midlothian Rd., Mundelein, IL 60060 at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

Meetings will be held via Zoom in the event that Covid-19 Mitigation Measures are put into place and meeting rooms may not host gatherings. Dates and time and location are subject to change. All homeowners are encouraged to attend the monthly board meetings. Please contact any member of the board or check the website for updated information regarding meeting location.

January 9, February 6, February 19 (Annual Meeting and Board Meeting), March 6, April 3, May 1, June 5, July 10 August 7, September 11, October 2, November 6, December 4.
