              MONTHLY BOARD MEETING MINUTES

March 6, 2017

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order on March 6, 2017 at 7:01 p.m. at Countryside Fire Station #1, 801 S. Midlothian Rd., Mundelein, Illinois 60060 by President, James Melledy.

 

MINUTES FOR APPROVAL

Nicki Sullivan moved and Sharon Zink seconded that the minutes from the Board of Directors Meeting of February 6, 2017 be approved as corrected. Unanimously approved.

 

HOMEOWNER FORUM – PUBLIC COMMENT

James Melledy thanked the WSPC Directors and Officers present for running the Annual Members’ Meeting when he was unable to attend.

 

James Melledy formally welcomed Sharon Zink to the board.

 

CORRESPONDENCE

Nicki Sullivan and James Melledy have been communicating with a new resident to clarify the WSPC rules regarding fences.

 

LAKE COUNTY GRANT

The REVISED deadline to submit the application and supporting documentation to the Lake County Community Development office is 4pm on Friday, March 31, 2017.

TREASURER’S REPORT

Fred Aichele presented the Treasurer’s Report for 02/01/2017 – 02/28/2017. Nicki Sullivan moved and Sharon Zink seconded that the Treasurer’s Report be approved as submitted. Unanimously approved.

 

There was a review and discussion of delinquent accounts.

 

COMMISSIONERS’ REPORTS

James Melledy will be in contact with Dan Prezell during the landscape contract review.

 

Fred Aichele reported that he will contact contractors that provide services for WSPC for current insurance information and certificates for the WSPC records.

 

Nicki Sullivan reported that she is working to find contractors to complete the repair needed on the pillar that was damaged when it was hit by a car.

 

There was a discussion regarding the damaged Miller Park gate and possible alternatives to replacing the gate.

 

NEW BUSINESS

Nicki Sullivan reported that she has been communicating with Fremont Township Highway Commissioner Bill Grinnell regarding the Grove Terrace and Oakdale Lane intersection repair and drainage reconstruction. She requested that a letter granting an easement to Fremont Township to authorize work on WSP property adjoining the roads at the intersection of Grove Terrace and Oakdale Lane be drafted and submitted to Fremont Township.

 

Sharon Zink moved and James Melledy seconded to allow West Shore Park Corporation to grant an easement to Fremont Township for the Grove Terrace Drainage Project. Nicki Sullivan will serve as the authorized agent and WSPC contact to Fremont Township Highway Commissioner Bill Grinell for this project. Unanimously approved by a voice vote.

 

APPROVE AND ADOPT ANNUAL DUES

Sharon Zink moved and James Melledy seconded to approve and adopt the Annual Dues for the 2017 / 2018 fiscal year as presented at the 2017 Annual Members’ Meeting. Unanimously approved by a voice vote.

ADJOURN

Sharon Zink moved that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was seconded by James Melledy. Unanimously approved. The meeting was adjourned at 8:09 p.m.

The Next WSP MONTHLY Homeowner’s Association Meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2017, at Countryside Fire Station #1, 801 S. Midlothian Road, Mundelein, IL 60060.
