MEETING CALLED TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order on May 6, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at Countryside Fire Station #1, 801 S. Midlothian Road, Mundelein, Illinois 60060 by President, James Melledy.
MINUTES FOR APPROVAL
Nicki Sullivan moved that the minutes from the Regular Board of Directors Meeting of March 4, 2019 be approved as presented. The motion was seconded by Mike Davenport. Unanimously approved.
HOMEOWNER FORUM – PUBLIC COMMENT
Werner Brisske announced he was recording the meeting.
CORRESPONDENCE
A. TAYLOR LAKE COURT – LICENSE AGREEMENT
James Melledy reported that there is no new information to report regarding the Licensing Agreements.
B. PIER REQUEST
Anthony Foster and Jim Bertram presented additional information regarding their request to the WSP board to install a new pier off of WSP common property behind their homes on Forest Drive. A revised map of the requested pier installation location was presented. There was an extensive discussion.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Fred Aichele presented the Treasurer’s Report for 04/01/2019 – 04/30/2019. Nicki Sullivan moved and John Lohrmann seconded that the Treasurer’s Report be approved as submitted. Unanimously approved.
There was a review and discussion of dues that have been received and delinquent accounts.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCMENT: The 2019/2020 WSPC Annual Homeowners’ Dues Billing was sent out at the beginning of April. Partial payments will no longer be accepted. Payment can be made by check, or paid by credit card through the WSP website. www.westshorepark.com
NEW BUSINESS
Parking problems persist on Fairview Drive. A letter to the WSPC Membership will be sent in an effort to gather opinions regarding the subject.
Nicki Sullivan reported that she and Fremont Township Parks, Building Ground & Highway Operations Manager, Herb Riedel had discussed drainage issues of the property adjacent to the area where “new” Forest Lane and “old” Forest Lane come together. The condition of Woodbine Road and how it contributes to the drainage problem was also discussed.
Spring clean-up dates and time for the parks and beaches will be announced via email.
A WSPC Member on Forest Lane contacted the board requesting information on installing a gravel driveway on his property.
Mike Davenport reported that according to his research, the Cross Connection Ordinance does not apply to homes on a private well system and that WSPC may be exempt because WSPC is not connected to the Village of Mundelein water supply and has its own well. Research into EPA and Illinois State Regulations regarding the Cross-Connection Ordinance will continue. It was suggested that WSPC consider a survey of homeowners and the creation of guidelines for WSPC Cross-Connection in order to protect the well/water source of our community.
It was reported that there have been calls to board members regarding multiple homes in WSP that have a non-working vehicle parked in a driveway for an extensive period of time. Complaints regrading inoperable vehicles should be directed to the Lake County Building and Engineering Division 847-377-4444.
John Lohrmann reported that there is at least one tree on the common lake-front property off “old” Forest Lane that will need to be inspected and possibly removed if it is not healthy and is in danger of falling.

Nicki Sullivan moved that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was seconded by Mike Davenport. Unanimously approved. The meeting was adjourned at 8:52 p.m.
