MEETING CALLED TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order on December 5, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at Countryside Fire Station #1, 801 S. Midlothian Road, Mundelein, Illinois 60060 by President Mike Davenport.
MINUTES FOR APPROVAL
Minaxi Tailor moved that the minutes from the Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors on November 7, 2022 be approved as corrected. Larry Bakirtjy seconded the motion. Unanimously approved.
CORRESPONDANCE
Request for details of conclusion of Taylor Lake Court court case requested from member. President Mike Davenport will follow-up.
PRESIDENT’S REPORT
Mike Davenport reported that the shore station being stored on WSPC property has not yet been moved as requested. The owner will be contacted again with the request to move the shore station off WSPC property before legal assistance is needed to have the shore station removed.
Mike Davenport reported that he is following up with our lawyers regarding the correction needed on the new Lake County Tax Map (which includes the Taylor Lake Court property) on the Taylor Lake Court tax record. It was also reported that he has requested that the lawyers draft a general letter to members who need to remove private property from WSPC property.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Fred Aichele presented the Treasurer’s Report for 11/01/2022 – 11/30/2022. Larry Bakirtjy moved and Werner Brisske seconded that the Treasurer’s Report be approved as submitted. Unanimously approved.
REVIEW OF TASKS LIST
Review and discussion of the Board and Officers Task List.
BUDGET REVIEW
Members are reminded that budget planning for the 2023-2024 fiscal year is underway. Members are encouraged to attend monthly board meetings to have their concerns and requests regarding the budget addressed during the planning stage. The most important meetings regarding how WSPC spends funds collected from the homeowners are from October through December.
Fred Aichele presented the second draft of the 2023-2024 proposed budget for review and discussion.
Commissioner Stacee Kalmanovsky reviewed several Miller Park budget items with the board:
Request to repair and repaint playground equipment as necessary.
Weeding, mulching, mowing actual cost versus estimated cost and included labor expected.
Butterfly rain garden had been inspected and judged very healthy. No additional expense needed.
OLD BUSINESS
Minaxi Tailor reported that the removal of unsafe and broken steps on WSPC property near block 2 beach has been completed and that the landscaping has been repaired as necessary.
ADJOURN
Minaxi Tailor moved that the meeting be adjourned. Werner Brisske seconded the motion. Unanimously approved. The meeting was adjourned at 8:47 p.m.
