Monthly Board Meeting Minutes

January 5, 2015

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order at 7:03 PM at Countryside Fire Station #1, 801 S. Midlothian Road, Mundelein, Illinois 60060 by Director, Susan Frank.

MINUTES FOR APPROVAL

James Melledy moved and Gina Rundall seconded that the minutes from the Regular Monthly Board of Directors Meeting of December 1, 2014 be approved as corrected. Unanimously approved by Directors: Tabatha Curtis, Susan Frank, James Melledy, and Gina Rundall.

TREASURER’S REPORT

Fred Aichele presented the Treasurer’s Report for 12/01/2014 – 12/31/2014. James Melledy moved and Susan Frank seconded that the Treasurer’s Report be approved as submitted. Unanimously approved by Directors: Tabatha Curtis, Susan Frank, James Melledy, and Gina Rundall. A copy is available for download.

Review and discussion of delinquent accounts.

UPDATE ON STATUS OF FIDELITY BOND

James Melledy reported that the application to renew the fidelity bond has been completed and submitted.

REVIEW OF THIRD DRAFT OF PROPOSED 2015-2016 BUDGET AND ANNUAL DUES REQUEST FOR FINAL REVIEW AND APPROVAL

Fred Aichele presented the third draft of the proposed 2015-2016 operating budget for review. There was a review and discussion of the revisions. The board’s recommendation for the next year’s budget is:

James Melledy moved and Susan Frank seconded to accept the final draft of the Proposed Budget Fiscal Year 4/01/2015 – 3/31/2016 as proposed for presentation to the WSPC membership at the annual meeting. Unanimously approved by Directors: Tabatha Curtis, Susan Frank, James Melledy and Gina Rundall.

This report will be discussed at the Annual Homeowners Meeting of February 22, 2015 at 1:30pm and attached to the minutes of that meeting.

For comparison use only: The previous year’s annual dues for homes on the WSP Water System are as follows: 2014 – $644 / 2013 – $654 / 2012 – $495 / 2011 – $779 / 2010 – $740

APPROVE 2015 ANNUAL MEETING PROXY AND LETTER TO HOMEOWNERS

Dan Prezell presented the West Shore Park Corporation 2015 Annual Meeting Proxy and cover letter for review and revision. The cover letter and proxy will be distributed to all homeowners prior to the annual meeting.

 

NOMINATIONS FOR DIRECTOR POSITIONS

WSPC received two eligible nominations to be considered for the two open positions of Director.

The official, certified candidates for Director are:

Nicki Sullivan (26671 N Oakdale Lane) – Block 1 – Two Year Term

Gina Rundall (19351 Forest Lane) – Block 2 – Two Year Term

 

ELECTION OF BLOCK 1 BEACH COMMISSIONER

Mark Dickey has resigned from the position of Block 1 Beach Commissioner, effective immediately.

Susan Frank nominated John Retzinger (26741 Circle Drive) for the position of Block 1 Beach Commissioner.

The nomination was seconded by James Melledy. Unanimously accepted by Directors: Tabatha Curtis, Susan Frank, James Melledy, Dan Prezell and Gina Rundall.

COMMISSINERS’ REPORT

James Melledy reported that the reconstruction on “new” Forest Lane has been delayed due to inclement weather. Construction will resume when the weather is better. Please watch for WSPC emails regarding possible water shut-off, boil orders and road closure due to the reconstruction.

NEW BUSINESS

There was a discussion regarding email communication and website maintenance goals and procedures.

The position of Website Commissioner is currently available. The WSPC is looking for a volunteer who is skilled in WordPress and Outlook. The ideal volunteer must be available to for a few hours a month for the maintenance of the WSP email distribution list and the WSP website. Please contact Secretary, Marilee C.C. ADJOURN

Susan Frank moved that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was seconded by James Melledy and unanimously approved. The meeting was adjourned at 8:50pm.
